Coffee and toast

Cinnamon toast. Elevated to a new level of deliciousness.  Thank You Pioneer Woman for increasing my butter purchase for weekly consumption. I stole and adapted my creation from PW's Cinnamon Toast the Right Way. I needed to change the recipe because otherwise I'd eat all 15 1/2 slices by myself and allow the Toddler to at least  t a s t e  it.  I also adore bubbly hot brown sugar.  See Apple Crisp.

Cinnamon Toast
4 Slices of Bread
2 1/2 Tbs butter
1 Tbs white sugar
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 Tsp Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Smush softened butter with a fork. Dump in both sugars & cinnamon. Smush until smooth/ spreadable.
Spread on slices of bread, completely covering the surface all the way to the edges.
Place toast on a cookie sheet. Place cookies sheet into the oven and bake for about 8 minutes. Turn on the broiler and broil until golden brown and bubbling (2 mins). Watch so it won’t burn!

I have like no natural light in my kitchen.

This is perfect to set aside for a rainy day.

But who wants to wait??

My tiny, crooked oven.

Yum.
